We leave summer, maintain the vibes and cruise to the start of a new academic year. But with one more important stop: the REVA Happiness Week. The third edition or in terms of wedding anniversaries: leather or wheat. Gosh, yummy.

Read again below to see what's on the menu for the week of 16 September, be sure to register early where necessary and mark it in your agenda. See you then!

WHAT'S THE PLAN
New on the schedule (had not been communicated before the summer): a keynote on Stress management on Wednesday 18 September, from 13:30 to 15:00 in Classroom 3.3 (3K3).

Whether it is teaching, research, administrative or service work, we all face quite a few challenges that can cause (un)necessary stress at certain times. During this interactive session, expert Marieke Impens of The Human Link will give us tools to deal with them in a healthy way so that we can continue to do our work in an inspired way. The physiological aspect of stress will be highlighted, but we will also get more insight into the mental side of stress in a science-based way.
Are you curious to take good care of yourself and colleagues and want to gain some new insights besides your own gut feeling that can help you and your colleagues further? Then this keynote is very highly recommended.

Sign up so we can see the numbers and pin it in your agenda.
Not yet registered for the Secret Hero action? Don't let surprising encounters and fine lunch or coffee breaks go to waste.

What's the deal?
Glad you asked! You sign up (10 September at the latest) and indicate (preferably as many as possible) times when you can take a (lunch) break. You will be paired up with at least two other colleagues and you will make a nice break together!
The open department meeting is the time to catch the most important (policy) news from our department, but also to ask all your pressing questions. Everyone welcome on Tuesday 17 September from 10:30 to 12:00 in auditorium E.
Mark it in your agenda.
Following the food for thought of the open department meeting, the real deal: healthy lunch together on Tuesday noon, 17 September on the grass pitch in front of auditorium E (or inside Block B in case the weather gods are less happy).
Food waste we are trying to avoid, so be sure to sign up (10 September at the latest).
With a small and nice event in Paris, the sports summer was OK, but the cherry on top is set by our REVA Pong, the reference among table tennis tournaments. The participants have been well occupied over the past few weeks, witness the ticking (everyone), shouting (Dries) and moaning (also Dries) on the landing to 3K3.
The final round is approaching, supporting your favourite player is not a crime!
The centrepiece of Happiness Week is Thursday afternoon, 19 September: the REVA Day. Our team building, REVA style.

Theme: Expedition Robinson. In collaboration with an external partner, the battle between Camp North and Camp South erupts. Making a fire, island council, eating a grasshopper, campfire moment (wait, that's Temptation Island),... it may or may not be among the assignments. But anyway: open to all.

If you'd like to attend, for lunch and/or activity, register (10 September at the latest).
